The World Knife Throwing League (WKTL) unites the knife throwing facilities from around the globe under one professional association. The highest level of competition in WKTL is the World Knife Throwing Championship (WKTC), an event held at the end of every year. WKTL Throwers compete year-round for an invitation at the World Knife Throwing Championship, with only one Thrower taking home the coveted top prize.
The WKTL's all-inclusive approach brings these facilites together and allows them the forum and to communicate with each other and to stablish standardized rules and regulations for the sport.

The World Knife Throwing Championship is the premier Knife Throwing event, administered each year by the World Knife Throwing League. The World Knife Throwing Championship is the highest level of play in the World Knife Throwing League and is the culmination of all WKTL events for the calendar year.
WKTL blade guards are formulated to protect our throwers from bounces and knives flying through protective fencing while still allowing for the highest precision.
An extended dual bladed knife allows for full coverage nearly all the way to the guards.
Dual weight options allows experienced knife throwers to dial in their comfort throwing knife weight. For less experienced throwers we recommend the Stinger PLUS+ for better rotation.
Shop NowThe World Knife Throwing Championship may vary in format but is most commonly a televised double-elmination tournament.
Competitors will be put into two sets of brackets, the Winner's bracket (A Bracket) and the Underdog bracket (B Brackets). The A bracket is conducted in the same manner as a single-elimination tournament, except that the losers of each.
The final World Knife Throwing Championship round is between the winner of the A bracket and the winner of the B bracket consisting of the best of 3 matches. Allowing for one practice throw between each match.
Will be the thrower who wins 2 out of the 3 matches first.
The A winner must lose twice for the B winner to win the World Knife Throwing Championship.
This means that if the B winner beats the A winner in the best of 3 matches, they must play another best of 3 matches for the B winner to win the World Knife Throwing Championship.
The World Knife Throwing Championship is an annual event hosted to crown the World Champion Knife Thrower, with the first World Knife Throwing Championship is set to be held in Fort Worth on December 12th, 2021.
The World Knive Throwing Championship is supported through a roster of independent Knife Throwing Venues or "WKTL Affiliates". Affiliates follow the guidance of the WKTL to uphold a standardized set of rules, targets and judging practices.
Through all our Affiliates working together in unison, we can create a standardized worldwide Knife Throwing network. Leagues and Tournaments are run through venues to ensure that qualifications to the World Knife Throwing Championship are available to the largest number of Throwers possible.

The cornerstone of World Knife Throwing Championship is based in WKTL gameplay. It is the goal of WKTL to promote competition through sportsmanship and fair play. Our leagues and events are to be played in a sportsmanship-like manner. Although competition may become intense, we expect our participants to maintain a high degree of sportsmanship up to and after the final throw.
